High Holy Day Hunger Project

There are over 100,000 hungry people in the greater Hartford area. Half of them are children. For the seventeenth year, Temple Beth Hillel will be conducting a food drive to support the work of food pantries in the greater Hartford area.
Help make a difference in the lives of our
friends and neighbors.
PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EFFORT

To donate money, make your check payable to Social Action Committee (memo: FoodShare) and place it in the tzadakah box near the sanctuary. For every dollar donated, FoodShare distributes $10 worth of food.

OR
Bring a bag of non-perishable groceries to the Temple on Yom Kippur.

The kosher items will be given to the Kosher food pantry. Please put your name on the bag so you can be thanked and place the bag in the coat room. Most needed items are tuna, peanut butter, spaghetti and sauce, macaroni & cheese, beans, canned fruit and vegetables, canned meats, 100% fruit juice, rice, cereal, chunky soups, beef stew, paper goods and personal hygiene items.

The Social Action Committee thanks you for your support. If you should have any questions or want more information, please call Janet Miller at 633-5851.
