2011 Shema Tour

The Temple Beth Hillel 7th Annual Shema Tour is on Monday January 17, 2011 (Martin Luther King Day).

Shema comes before V'ahavta to teach us that you can not love unless you know how to listen.

Join us as we visit the places the needy go to get their needs met. We are going to listen to see. You will see our community in a whole new light.

This year, I was even more amazed as I scouted out the locations we will be visiting. All are new, and all are incredible. They are important in the role they play, but they are also so creative in the way they apply their values.

We will meet at TBH at 9:00am. Then we will be taking a tour through Hartford through the eyes of the less fortunate.

This is free and open to all, but children under the age of 7 might find it difficult. Children grade 7 and younger need to be supervised by an adult. Teens who have a permission slip signed by their guardian do NOT have to be accompanied by an adult.

We are expecting our largest group ever, so space is limited on the bus.

AN RSVP IS MANDATORY AND ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Please RSVP to Karen Kasheta at 860-282-8466 or tbhadmin@cox.net

I look forward to seeing Hartford in a new light with you.

-Rabbi Glickman
