Committees:

House Committee VP: Joe Alpert
The Temple Beth Hillel House Committee is responsible for maintaining our facilility both inside and out. We have approximately 8 members who look after the maintenance of the grounds and building. We repair, replace, hang, move, arrange and clean as needed. If something needs doing we are called upon to do it. If we can not fix an item we hire the appropriate professional to help us out. We are always looking for people to get involved and give a hand.

Membership VP: Lenny Grigorian

Religious Practices VP: Ceil Gersten
"Prayer invites the presence of God to suffuse our spirits to let the will of God prevail in our lives. Prayer cannot bring water to parched fields, nor mend a broken bridge, nor rebuild a ruined city: but prayer can water an arid soul, mend a broken heart, and rebuild a weakened will."
                                                                                                                  Gates of Prayer, p. 152

The Religious Practices Committee shall be comprised of members of Temple Beth Hillel who are interested in maintaining and enhancing the spiritual life of the congregation. This committee makes recommendations regarding the Sabbath and holiday worship services, the observances of life cycle events, the participation of the congregation in other community observances, the use and care of its ritual objects and whatever other matters pertain to the religious observances of the Temple.

The Religious Practices Committee, in the spirit of Reform Judaism, respects the diverse religious backgrounds of the congregants. It is dedicated to fostering a sense of community by uniting the members of the congregation in a Jewish worship experience, inspired by Torah with reverence for God, elevated through music.
