Every year since 1978, during the Friday within Hanukkah, Ruth Seymour, general manager of KCRW in Santa Monica, has presented three hours of Hanukkah-anchored Yiddishkeit called "Philosophers, Fiddlers, and Fools." Ruth plays drama, stories and songs which honor her parents' generation of Yiddish-speaking Americans. She decided that this year's broadcast will be her last, but you can hear her six most recent shows here:
