"Man Schemes or Plans and G-d Laughs"

It is a saying that sounds better in Yiddish but it definitely applies to your President. We were supposed to leave today for my wife Cantor Susan Levine to officiate at her niece's wedding in Denver, CO. Well after five hours of phone calls and four changes of flightplans---we hope to leave tomorrow---G-d willing!

However this brings me to the thoughts of the plans and visions for our Temple family's future. Yes, times are hard --- financially, weather wise, and in general psychologically we are hurting!

This does NOT mean we will stop trying to make our Temple life better. Your Board and I are addressing our financial status as I write this article. We are addressing the various needs of our Temple members.

That said---Temple Life will go on!! Shabbat services are being enhanced by Cantor Emily Sleeper Mekler's melodies in our prayers to give a spiritual uplifting. We are looking forward to February 27th and 28th for our Purim weekend. March 5th weekend is Women's Weekend. Many plans are being projected for TBH's 50th Jubilee anniversary celebration.

So---Come out of the winter doldrums and join these wonderfull events and forget your troubles!
